I didn't realize it would be so hard to find a new one this year, or I would've done the same thing. :) I did get a lot of seeds from it last year (some of which I saved) but I am not sure whether 'Elegant Lady' comes true from seed nor how hard it is to grow Cape Mallow from seed.

Whereabouts in MN, if you don't mind my asking? Some of my family is from there and I spent a lot of time there as a child.

Hi Yvette, Thanks for the comment and the compliment. Are you in a warm climate? If so, cape mallow should do well for you year-round. I grew 'Elegant Lady' last growing season and it did great - turning into a small shrub and blooming all season - but was killed over the winter. I got it at a special event last year and have yet to find a source to buy another 'Elegant Lady' here in the States this year.
